Journey to backbend
We spend our life living forward and thus tend to forget that our backs are meant to be moved in all directions.
Backbends move our body to the back and are known for increasing flexibility, strengthening and stretching the body, improving posture, and reducing tension.
However, beyond the physical benefits, this workshop will open your heart area and move you on a journey of love, self-care and transformation.
Backbending also helps to explore where blockage and tension are held in the body and releasing the emotional backlog.
The workshop is designed to focus on target areas each week to help you open up. In this 6-week workshop, we will embark on a journey to open the heart space through a backbend practice. Each class will include a peak pose, moving progressively into deeper poses through the programme.
